Biography
CaringKind – the Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving, President & CEO, Eleonora Tornatore-Mikesh spent almost 18 years operating as a senior living executive of a healthcare system in long-term care and residential living and memory care centers. More recently Mrs. Tornatore-Mikesh was the CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Connecticut Chapter. During her tenure of 7.5 years at the Association she more than doubled revenue and implemented statewide dementia training in over 140 facilities in partnership with the Department of Labor. She created a state-wide early-stage group and secured funding for the state. Mrs. Tornatore-Mikesh also served as chairperson for the Connecticut Assisted Living Association (CALA) where she created a statewide curriculum for an Executive Director course. She served as a representative for CALA for seven years on a Department of Public Health committee revising regulations for assisted living and the Institute of Senior Living Education.
She has been named in the City & State Health Care Power 100 list in 2021, 2022 & 2023, highlighting New York’s dedicated public health officials, hospital executives, labor leaders and activists. She currently serves as the President and CEO of CaringKind – the Heart of Alzheimer’s Caregiving and compassionately supports seniors and their families going through the life changing experiences of dementia.
